The Easter Bunny

Kevin brought the kids to my work on Thursday because the Easter bunny was coming to take pictures with the employees kids. Most of the children were crying a screaming (rightfully so) at the creepy bunny and didn't want to get near him. Who can blame him with those psycho eyes? My kids have no fear of large furry creatures, probably because of multiple trips to the magic kingdom beginning at birth. Santa is a different story, but if it has a big furry head they are all for it. Pyper was sad that the bunny didn't talk to her, ( how frightening would that have been) and she had to go back and blow him a kiss. So here are some pics so you can see how truly awesome this bunny was.

Who will dance with me?

The other day Kevin and Pyper were driving in the car and Pyper said, "Dad, I am going to marry you in the temple when I grow up. " Kevin had to explain to her that he was already married and he is her dad so he can't marry her. She got all sad and said "Who is going to dance with me when I am older?" I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband who is a great dad. He is always dancing with his little princesses and he is always the dragon when they are hiding in their castle. He always tucks them in at night, and makes them feel safe. Thank you Kev for being the best dad a little girl could have!

My Little Malificent

The other day I was trying to take a bath. It is the one moment in the day where I get time to myself. So I am lying there trying to relax when Pyper frantically bursts into the bathroom and climbs in on top of me fully clothed. I tried to figure out what she was so upset about, and she finally sputtered out, "London is scaring me!" I looked up and London came into the bathroom in this. . .

She had found this old mask of her dad's and was using it to terrify her sister. The sad thing is Pyper is somewhat fascinated by the mask, yet horrified at the same time. I don't know what is more funny. London in this mask or the fact that it belongs to Kevin.

ABC Tag

A - Attached or Single: Definitely attached.
B - Best friend - Kevin. I am really lucky that I found the person who totally gets me and is my other half. I don't know where I would be without him.
C-Cake or Pie: Tough choice. Can I just pick chocolate?
D- Day of Choice: Friday. My husband gets off work early and I don't have to work so that is a plus. I have playgroup in the mornings and get to talk to all my girlfriends and then I usually do something fun with my hubby on Friday nights.
E- Essential Items: Anti bacti hand sanitizer. We have used it after every trip to the grocery store this year and it has cut back on the stomach flu a ton from last year.
F- Favorite Color: Green.
G- Gummi Bears or Worms: Bears - Especially chocolate covered cinnamon bears.
H- Hometown: American Fork (that's right, I am from Utah County).
I -Indulgence(s): Traveling. We have to have a trip planned at all times or we go crazy. So far this year we are headed to Hawaii, St. George and of course we will hit Yellowstone at least twice.
J- January or July: July ( even though London and my birthday are in January, I am not an outdoor winter sport person and it is so gray and smoggy). I love the swimming and the picnics and of course we always go on a trip in July.
K-Kids: 3 -London, Pyper and Asher. I guess I could count our Beta , Jack Sparrow, but he is really London's pet. She picked out his name and calls him Jackie Jack for short.
L-Life is incomplete without: My incredible family. I love spending time with them and traveling with them (extended family included).
M- Marriage Date: May 19th, 2000
N- Number of Siblings: 2 -Brandon and Angela
O- Oranges or Apples: Apples, especially with caramel dip.
P- Phobias or Fears: I definitely have arachnophobia. Kevin kills all the spiders at our house. I inherited this from my mother ( thanks mom).
Q- Quote(s): I am having a brain cramp in the quote department. Maybe I will think of one later.
R- Reason To Smile: My three kids almost always do something to make me smile. It is so fun watching them discover and interpret the world around them.
S- Season: Tie between spring and fall. I love the warmth after months of frigid cold, and the start of cool at the end of a long hot summer.
T- Tag Six: I think most people have already been tagged, but anyone who does please leave me a comment so I can read it.
U- Unknown Fact About Me: I love games. I would play board/card games every night if I could find enough people to play. I have so many games that I am running out of space for them. I am also really into playstation games and my husband got me a wii for Valentines day so that has been eating up a huge chunk of my not so free time. I am just catching up on my laundry today. Pathetic, I know.
V- Vegetarian or Oppressor of Animal: I am a meat eater, but I am way picky. I discard almost half of any meat that I am eating if I think it looks weird or has fat or tendon like things.
W- Worst Habit: Is procrastination a habit? I am really good at leaving things until the last minute.
X- X-Rays or Ultrasounds: I don't get this question. I am registered to do both, but I much prefer to do ultrasound because it is way more challenging and also, people are excited to come in and have their OB ultrasound. It is one of the few tests people actually want to come to. I truly love my job. Most of the time.
Y- Your Favorite Food: Mexican food. Pretty much anything with cheese and beans and spicy. I especially love Cafe Rio.
Z- Zodiac-Capricorn

Technical Difficulties

Okay so our computer has been acting up lately so when I get online, I only have a few minutes of time before the screen goes completely white. I don't know what the deal is so if any of computer gurus out there have any ideas, I would be willing to try anything. We have ordered a new one since ours is about 5 years old. Yes some people would try and fix the one they have, but since Kevin and I are computer stupid, our solution is to just get a new one. Hopefully we will be up and running again in a few days.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love Valentine's Day. I love all the flowers and pink and red hearts. I love making sugar cookies with my kids. I most of all love all the valentine candy (conversation hearts are my favorite). My husband on the other hand, is not a big fan of the day. He thinks it is just a ploy to get you to buy flowers and candy and other useless stuff. That said, he always goes all out to let me know how much he loves me. He is the best. We have almost been married eight years now and it has been incredible! Here is a picture of us 8 years ago on our wedding day. Aren't we so young and skinny. I can't believe how time has flown now that we are a family of five!

I also love Valentine's Day because it is the day we got to bring London home from the hospital 5 years ago. Here she is on her first night home. The binky is almost as big as her face and her clothes were way too big. We were so excited to have her home. What a great Valentine's gift that was. Today she was having a Valentines party at preschool and wanted her dad to do her hair in the shape of a heart. He is pretty good at doing hair, but not quite that good so she had to be satisfied with a flower clip. (I know you would never guess that she had hair based on her first pictures.) Hope you all have a great V-day!!

Sunday chaos

Some Sundays I start to wonder why we even try to make it to church. It starts before we even get there. Sunday mornings are always hectic trying to get everyone ready and we are always missing someone's shoe and have to look forever and we finally make it to church late, even though we don't start till one o'clock. I was feeling pretty good this Sunday because we were even a little bit early. We sat in a bench and we were doing fairly well until the Sacrament prayer. Pyper chose this moment to let out a huge burp, then she said excuse me and London burst out laughing. Since it got a laugh the first time, Pyper kept trying to burp through the rest of the prayer and then crawled under the bench so I couldn't get to her. We waited until after the sacrament was over so as not to cause a huge scene and then marched her out to the car. Kevin took her home to have a time out in her room which she thought was tragic so hopefully she will remeber it the next time she starts acting up.

In the mean time, London, Asher and I stayed behind to listen to the meeting. Asher has just started cooing and making noise all the time. If he cries I take him out, but if he is just happily cooing, I like to stay and try to listen to the speakers. Usually we are sitting around other families with young babies so we are all just kind of used to it and it blends in. A family with older kids sat in front of us this Sunday though and the mother was quite annoyed with my little Asher guy. So after a few looks of death from the row in front of us, I packed up Asher and London and we went to the mother's lounge to listen to the rest of the meeting.

After sacrament the girl's went to primary so it calmed down a little and we had a really good lesson in Young Women's so I left church feeling spiritually uplifted. Ultimately I am glad we went, but does anyone else feel like church is a wrestling match? Any ideas for making sacrament meeting more uplifting and keeping kids calm? We have quiet books and crayons, but I swear Pyper turns into a little devil the moment we enter the chapel and I would be open to any suggestions. Anyway, if you need some entertainment next Sunday, feel free to sit by us.
