Precious Moments

Just a few things that the girls did that I don't want to forget. Everytime that I ask London to go upstairs and grab something for the baby she yells "Teamwork Pyper!" and they both run up the stairs singing this song "Teamwork, do it together. Teamwork friends forever." (See playlist to hear song). They always come back both holding on to the diaper or whatever it was I asked them to get. It is so cute how they help each other.

Last night when I was tucking in Pyper she said to me "Mama, I want to write a letter to Jesus." I asked her what she wanted it to say and she said "I want to tell him thank you for everthing He does for me." I am so glad that even though she is so young, she realizes that Jesus is her friend and is always there to help her. So precious!

Hardware Ranch

We had a blast this weekend in Idaho for the January birthdays. Thanks Jen for all the good food and for planning all the fun games for the kids! After we had cake and opened presents, we headed up to Hardware Ranch for a sleigh ride. I had never been and it was a lot of fun. The kids loved seeing all the Elk, especially the ones that were fighting. It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun spending time with family. Maybe we will have to make this a yearly traditon?

Choosing a School

So as many of you know, London starts kindergarten next year and it is really freaking me out. Not only do I have a 5 year old, but now I have to figure out what school would be best for her and I have to find out all these application deadlines and it is pretty scary. There is no way she is going to the school in the neighborhood. They bus in problem kids and I don't think that there is a lot of parent involvment at that school. I have looked into some schools farther east and we put in a window application to Rose Crest and Eastwood which are both in Granite School District. Yesterday I went to an open house at Canyon Rim Academy which is a charter school a few miles east of here. It was so cute! It reminded me of my own elementary school. They are an art based school and there were copies of famous painting down each hall and tons of art projects and supplies. They had all the kids art projects hanging up in the hallways. All of the staff were super nice and the class rooms and school were really clean. I was way impressed. The kids have to wear uniforms, which I think is a good thing, but I will miss buying cute school clothes. They use the Core Knowledge Sequence for their curriculum which looks really good. Anyway, they have a lottery to decide who gets in and I will find out in the next 2 to 4 weeks so wish me luck!

London is 5!

I can't believe that I am the mother of a five year old. It seems like it was just yesterday that she was coming home from the hospital and now she is this big kid who will be starting kindergarten. It freaks me out how fast everything has happened. Here is just a reminder of how small she started out.

Can you believe she was ever so tiny? You would never know by the tall beautiful girl she has grown into. Everytime I think about the time when she was born I get so emotional still and it has been five years. I know she would not be here if it weren't for a loving Heavenly Father and for all the fasting and prayers of our family. I truly believe that is the only thing that saved her and it is truly miraculous that she hasn't had any problems since. It has really strenghtened my testimony in the fact that God cares about us individually and is constantly watching over us and helping us. Thank you all so much for all your support during that crazy time and for helping

London to grow into a beautiful girl.

Our Urban Family

We had our Urban Family Christmas party and I wanted to let all of you know how much we love you!! We couldn't ask for better friends! Thanks for all the fun times this Christmas season! We especially enjoyed watching all the christmas classics with you guys. Here are a few pics from that night. (Where are you Tami and Kevin? Somehow you managed to avoid all pics. If other people have pictures of these two will you post on Urban Family website?) Thanks to Kayla for remembering the Christmas Crackers! We can always count on you to keep this tradition going!

New Year's Celebration.

The Barlow family celebrates Christmas the weekend after and it is the best idea ever because Christmas just keeps on going and going. This year we all stayed over at Grandma and Grandpa's for four days of fun! Here are a few pictures from our fun filled weekend!

Grandpa and Grandma gave the girl's dresses and they had to put them on immediately.

Grandma and Pyper at the Ogden City Lights.

Jen and Addy!

Happy New Year! (Yes the kids stayed up till midnight).

New Year Baby!

Christmas morning!

Taking Barbie for a spin.

Pyper loves dolls!

Santa was very good to us this year. London and Pyper were so excited to see their gifts that we even got a "Holy Mackrel" out of London. (I wonder where she picked up this phrase?). The girl's love their pink cars and are driving Shan crazy by driving them back and forth all over the basement. Spring cannot come soon enough! They also got a barbie house and plenty of dolls to play with. Asher was just happy lounging around in his PJ's. Maybe next year he will be ready for some more excitement.

London's pirate ship from Grandma Dorothy and Grandpa Bob. ( Dad is quite enjoying this toy. There have been many pirate attacks on the barbies over the last week. )

Doesn't Asher look way excited about that polar set? Dad sure was.
