Grandpa Barlow is retiring!

Grandpa Barlow is retiring from years of service in the air force reserves and the anti-skid department at Hill Air Force Base. The girl's loved having him escort them around the museum this fall and seeing the bomber that he helped to recover from the aleutian islands and all the other planes. We are proud of your many years of service and love you!!

Zoo Lights!

We went to zoo lights tonight with Jeff, Jessica and Landon. It was really quite impressive. I couldn't believe how many lights they had considering this was the first year they have done it. London's favorite was the alligator of course. Pyper loved the peacock. Kevin forgot his gloves, but luckily he found a pair of London's pink and white striped princess gloves in his coat pocket and squeezed his hands into them. While we were standing in a big crowd of people looking at the snow leopard, London noticed and asked very loudly, "Why do you have pretty gloves on daddy? You look like a girl." Needless to say we got quite a few strange looks.

Artwork by London

London has taken to drawing on any paper she can find. I love her cute simple drawings. She loves to draw people and snowman. Here are a few of her most recent drawings.

Asher is 3 months old!

Asher turned 3 months old this week. I can't believe how fast the last 3 months have gone. I think it is because he is probably my last baby and I just want to savor every moment with him. He is such a cute babe. He hardly ever cries and he sleeps all through the night. He is so mellow compared to the girls. He is my little angel with his cute little ears. The name Asher means happy and he definately has grown into his name.

Christmas is coming.

All bundled up for the light parade.

Sorry I haven't written anything for so long. We have been super busy getting ready for Christmas. We always kick off the season the weekend after Thanksgiving at the Preston Light Parade. This year the girls got to ride on a float and they were so excited. London has been obsessesed with being in a parade for quite awhile. They were so cute all bundled up with their cousins. Thanks Todd and Jen!! We love going to Preston for all their awesome local activities. We can't wait until there is snow so we can try out the hill.

The kids are on this float, I promise.

Weston, Jordon, Pyper and London

We made our annual ginger bread house a few weeks ago. It didn't go as smoothly this year as in years past. We just buy one of those kits and assemble it so it is as easy as possible. This year there was a mishap and the roof caved in. As Kevin was trying to fix it, it cracked. London had an absolute breakdown, spurred on by the fact that Kevin and I thought it was hilarious and kept laughing. She kept yelling "It isn't funny! Our house is ruined. " We did manage to patch it back together and prop the roof up with the gingermen's heads which seemed to satisfy London. Pyper had fun just watching all the drama and trying to sneak as many candies into her mouth as possible.

Our gingerbread house disaster.

So sad.

Pyper is 3!

Pyper turned three this week. She had a princess party with her grandparents and aunts and uncles. She is such a flirt. She got a little house for her birthday and she spent the whole weekend holed up in it making pretend muffins with her sister. She conned her dad into being her "puppy". She can get him to do anything with that cute little smile!

Birthday Belle!

Pyper and the cake she decorated herself, with what else, princesses.

First Dance Recital

Use this link if above video won't work. I am new at this.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8800050979311478099&hl=en

London and Pyper have been attending a community ballet class at Skyline High School for the past two months and they had their first recital on November 15th. This is a class of about 20 little girls ages 3 to 4 so you can imagine how chaotic it is. The teacher is lucky if she can get them to do anything at the same time. I didn't want them to have a high stress experience and this is definitely as low key as it gets. Here is a video for those of you who couldn't make it!

Sorry about the shaky filming. It is hard to track unpredictable toddlers, especially when they all look the same!

Here is a final wave goodbye from Pyper.
